“Advanced techniques for manufacturing elements of the airframe structure using innovative FSW technology”

Co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund. GRANTS FOR INNOVATION in December 2013, an agreement was signed for co-financing the project “Advanced techniques for manufacturing elements of the airframe structure using innovative FSW technology” The project is implemented under Measure 1.5 Projects National Center for Research and Development. The agreement was concluded with the National Center for Research and Development as an Implementing Institution. Project implemented in 2013-2018. The goal of the project is to develop an important technology in the aviation industry for connecting aviation structures using an innovative method of joining which is friction welding with mixing (FSW) by conducting industrial research. The application of the new technology will eliminate or reduce the manufacturing techniques used so far. The benefits of implementation include reduced production costs and reduced assembly cycle times, reduced weight, and reduced noise and vibration.
